Good food (dinner and breakfast) comfortable bed, but best of all was April and her staff who were a model of how to treat guests and were super helpful. Only negatives - lighting in bathroom was too dim and lights outside my room (car park) left on all night but curtain not hung to properly cover window. Otherwise all good.
Me and my friend came for lunch- just a soft drink and some chips. The chips are amazing!! Really thick, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The lady with the lovely purple hair (I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name!), was really friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!!
The team are all so friendly here and customer service is second to none. The food is equally fabulous, especially the Sunday roasts! Highly recommend this venue. They even have accommodation which includes breakfast, again spot on.
4 of us had a very good lunch earlier today. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The waitress April was a great help in selecting a variety of starters and snacks to create a brilliant tapas style lunch. Thank you we will be back.
Dinner shared in late July with 3 people - superb result! The dining room position was very quiet, the welcome and service polite and helpful . The food, three different main choices, was really excellent. Thoroughly recommended. Thank you.
Stayed one night for work. Room 8. First of all, and what stands out most is the excellent customer service, staff were attentive and friendly. It makes all the difference The room was clean and well equipped. Downside was mattress far too soft and sagging, perhaps base not supportive enough, felt like I was just falling into the middle all the time, really does need an upgrade to something a little firmer/more supportive. It's an old building, so prob not a lot can be done about noise from room to room, so if you are sensitive to noise, ask for top floor, so you don't have to listen to people moving above you. But it was otherwise quiet and the bathroom was wonderfully equipped with excellent shower. Water/tea/coffee/biscuits provided in room Wonderful breakfast, and lovely coffee Many thanks
Great evening meal. Stand out service from the Team - April, Brie, Olivia - really attentive and friendly as we checked in for 2 nights on a busy evening. Positives - Clean, comfortable room + good tea tray. Less good - net curtains torn and partly hanging off rails. Room rather 'tired' looking. Victoria
